I talked to my mother this morning. They don't have the gas recovered, yet so they have hard time cooking or making hot water. More so, they are lack in food. The situation could be worst, she said.  I wish I was there to help them, being so far away can't do much, wising more people to be found and fast recovery.

Since then, I've been obsessively paying attention to the news hoping for the fast recovery. My house, my family are all fine there. However, other people wh... I just talked to my sister on the phone today, worrying about the radiation level. They go to work, trying to have their normal lives back desperately. She told me they go to work because we all want the fast recovery in the midst of radiation alert. Well, her work place at Tohoku University Agricultural dept. measures the nuclear level every hour, which tell them the level hasn't been raise at all, so it is a good news for the area.
I just sent a package of energy bars and non-water use shampoo. They are staying strong, even without food, water, and electricity.
I also received an email from Shiga Lieko san who is a friend living by the Sendai airport. She has been through a lot since hosted by one of the shelters. She said, "it is our fault that we consumed too much electricity"  it is true. We're always used to have water and electricity. I keep thinking about the village in Estonia, where i was two years ago with self-sustained lives. They know how to live in the wood, how to start the fire, how to get the water, how to preserve vegetable...etc.
well, I just hope they all have enough food, water, warm blanket, medicine, gas,.

Le 104 is a great place, though. I started to know what this place is for, it is for the community, plus the cafe serves wonderful dishes. I visited other resident artist's open studio today and a screening in the evening, which was nice. It is a bit far from the center of the city, but I am happy, gradually meeting Parians.

Especially, 11 ladies of pensioners had participated in my project. Starting at 8:30 am, we strolled around the town, forest and in my studio with the green screen setting. They seemed to enjo... They seemed to enjoy the process, so as I! The pace of how they walked was nice. So, hopefully, this film will be a good one.
I also cooked and baked for their refreshments after the shooting. I made spicy tomato soup, Japanese past thing and miso caramel banana pound cake.
So, we were all happy at the end!

I feel strange today, maybe because of my contact lense wearing more than one day straight. Since we had a Sauna night at the Estonian cabin that they took me yesterday afternoon, I feel like jetlagging today.

This afternoon, Siim and I rafted 1 hour on the lake, trying to move the floating bench to the other shore. We have to continue tomorrow when it is less windy.

I craved for junk food for some reason that I had to have a chocolate ice cream bar. This made me feel better for my weired day to finish up.

Tomorrow will be another day.

Is it the time already?! Well, I took a trip to Tartu (the second largest City in Estonia) today, which is about 45 km away from Mooste. Anyway, I purchsed things for shooting next week and a bottle of wine.
Now, we finished the dinner with other resident artists and Mari. I must say, it was a very nice night.
The topic is always about wars and histories, the emergent situation in the world where we live in. The other resident artists are the couple from Poland/Israel, whome are the survival of the war (they are almost 80 years old). Irena is the survival of concentration camp in PL. So....
I have a lot to learn from them.

Anyway,
This earth will have a night and day, no matter what.

The story was s short story of Tolstoj. I couldn't understand the detail narrative, but I go the point.
It was a refreshing night to check out the local activity.
